Anne Dyer
Anne Dyer has had an amazing career as an accomplished ballet dancer and teacher.
After studing the R.A.D. Syllabi and Solo Seal, she spent 9 months at the Covent Garden Dance Centre polishing her technique.
After which she then spent 11 years as a profesional ballet dancer in Belgium and France.
Anne has taught at Brents St Performing Arts, Mango Dance Studio and NAISDA (National Aboriginal Islander Dance Assoc).She is an accomplished pianist, Ballroom and Latin dancer and is curently studying Flamenco.
Anne is the founder and principal of dance Star and after 26 years of teaching she continues to pass on her knowledge and love of dance to her students.
Ingrid Faucher
Ingrid has been dancing for 25 years and graduated with a Bachelor Of Arts Drama and Media. She trained as a Jazz, Tap, Funk and Hip-Hop dancer at the Ballet Workshop & Brent Street Studios and has been teaching dance since the ages of 16, to children of all ages in all areas of Sydney.
Working also as an actor and presenter, Ingrid’s professional work has included roles on All Saints, Post Card Bandits, TV commercials such as Riva Coffee, Vodafone, Sprite as well as featuring in music video clips for Celebrity Drug Disasters “Run Outa Cash” & The Sun Room “New Day. She also hosts and produces a community television dance and music program called Nocturnal TV on TVS.
Teaching at Dance Star allows Ingrid to be able to pass on her passion of dance to her students whom she thoroughly enjoys teaching in a vibrant, fun and encouraging atmosphere.
Elena Lambrinos
Elena trained at the Australian College of Entertainment where she was a member of the Danceworks company. She now studies Dance Education at The University of New South Wales in Ballet and Modern Contemporary, while continuing her training in other styles externally.
Elena teaches jazz, tap, funk, lyrical and modern contemporary at Dance Star.
Tammi Gissell
Tammi Gissell is a descendant of the Muruwari nation of North Western NSW. She is currently Course co-ordinator at NAISDA Dance College, as well as performing professionally with various choreographers and theatre makers throughout Australia. Tammi holds a Bachelor of Performance, Theory and Practice (Honours) from the University of Western Sydney. She passed with Distinction and was awarded the Dean’s Medal for academic excellence at graduation. Tammi appears as an independent solo artist throughout NSW and is a published poet.
Damien Grima
Damien Grima began his training at the age of six, at Theatre Arts Mackay under the direction of Lynette Denny. Starting with tap, he then moved onto all styles including Ballet, Jazz, Contemporary, Acrobatics, Drama and Singing. After completing his CSTD Gold Cross and RAD Intermediate exams he then moved to Melbourne to train at the Australian Ballet School. Here he also performed some small roles with the Company.
Damien's first full time dance job was with Princess Cruises, which resulted in a few fill in contracts in the years that followed. In between these Damien worked as a commercial dancer for ads in Taiwan, Star Struck on Ch 9, The Helpmann Awards as well as two contracts with Opera Australia. He also spent some time in England performing an U.K Tour of Copacabana and as Dance Captain for Potters Theatre Company. Damien also spent a few years training in Ballroom and Latin, and choreographed a piece for Short, Sweet and Dance combining Ballroom with contemporary. He now trains the full time students at Mango Dance Studio.
