Ballet is a beautiful art form which enriches you with gracefulness, good posture and confidence.
Dance Star follows the Royal Academy of Dancing (RAD) Syllabi.
Pre-Primary to Grade 8 and Vocational Graded Syllabi are taught.
Students may choose to sit for examinations or presentations.
DANCE FANTASY is tailored for the 3-4 year olds giving them their first introduction to the world of dance, through body movement, rhythm and mime.
The end of year concert is a highlight and culmination of the students talents.
PRIMARY - GRADE 1
Students doing exams must take 2 classes per week.At this stage these classes will not do exams in 2010. Only 1 class a week is required.
GRADES 2 - 5
Students doing exams must take 2 classes per week.
In addition to the classes, students must have 3 - 4 private lessons during Terms 1 - 3.
GRADES 6 - 8
Students doing exams must take 2 - 3 classes per week.
In addition to the classes, students must have 4 - 6 private lessons during Terms 1 - 3.
VOCATIONAL GRADES
Students doing exams must take 2 - 3 classes per week.
In addition to the classes, students must take 4 - 6 private lessons during the year.
Vocational Grades do not have Presentation Classes ONLY examinations.
R.A.D. PRESENTATION CLASSES
PRIMARY & GRADE 1
Presentation Classes may be taken with one class per week.
GRADES 2 - 5
Students must take 2 classes per week without private lessons.
Private lessons are 30 minutes duration.
Examinations and Presentations are all optional.
The discovery for the love of ballet is the paramount reason to be in class.
Whether one sits for examinations or presentations the aim for each student is to achieve their highest ability in each grade.
Every student will be required to attain their optimum level of technique, musicality and artistry in each grade they study.
